About Manolas Handmade Soaps

Manolas Handmade Soaps is our small, family-owned business located in beautiful Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We started out intrigued by the wonderful soaps which can be created by a little ingenuity, scientific exploration, and creativity!

Our soaps are made from scratch using the old-fashioned cold process method of combining various oils, butters, and lye in just the right amounts to create a luxurious soap that we are proud to offer to you. We make all our soap in very small batches so we have precise quality control over the entire process. After curing for 4 weeks, we hand-cut and individually package each soap. You know you are getting a soap that is finely crafted and one-of-a-kind!

Our goal is to manufacture our products by hand using only pure vegetable & nut oils so our customers will feel healthy, clean, & great about their skin. We would like everyone to be able to indulge themselves in this everyday luxury. We do not use any animal fats or inferior filler vegetable oils in our products. In addition, all soaps are air-cured 4-6 weeks to provide you with the mildest, hardest, and longest lasting bar possible.

Melissa is the master soapmaker. With her master's degree in Engineering, she is very scientific by nature. She always strives to create not only scientifically-derived quality recipes, but also unique, beautiful, and luxurious products that are aromatically pleasing and wonderful for your skin!

Alex is the webmaster and overall tech support for the business. He single-handedly creates the web pages, imports the photos, and is the physical & mental support for all our craft shows!
